- To configure your Premium Dedicated Server start with the chassis, and add your required CPU, memory, storage, and any extras. Please note that:
- your server can have up to two CPUs, which must be the same model;
- your server must have a minimum of 16GiB RAM, and can accommodate up to 192GiB with a single CPU, or 384GiB with dual CPUs;
- your server must have at least one pair of drives;
- your server comes with two 100Mbit/s network interfaces, as standard, but can accommodate up to four.
- The server’s two network interfaces are configured by default in active-backup bonding mode connected to two difference access switches.
- The iLO licence is only needed if you require full-time remote keyboard, video, mouse, and virtual CD-ROM, in addition to our standard out-of-band access. Your server will require a separate 100Mbit/s network interface for access, which can one of the two supplied with the server, or an extra one.
- The server’s drives are mirrored using RAID10 by default, or RAID1 if it only has two drives. This means that the capacity of ½n drives is available for data. If you require more disc capacity, then the advanced RAID array licence permits the discs to be configured using RAID6, giving a capacity of (n - 2) drives.
- A 5% discount on Premium Dedicated hosts is available to Free Software authors. “Free Software” is defined as per the Debian Free Software Guidelines.
- The setup fee is waived if paying annually.
