The Atom 330 has two cores runs at 1.6GHz and its speed will be comparable to that of a low to mid-range Pentium 4 – an ideal upgrade from a virtual machine.
You might want the Atom’s guaranteed performance, or just the generous memory allowance for running many different services; memory is often a far more important a factor in performance for a server than CPU speed.
