Dedicated Hosting – Value Servers
We’re all about flexibility at Bytemark, and whether your needs require a single-core CPU with 1GB RAM or multiple boxes comprising quad-core CPUs with 8GB RAM, our range of cost-effective “value” servers has you covered.
Prices start at just £60 per month for an Athlon64 LE-1620 with 1024MB RAM and a 160GB 7,200rpm SATA disk drive; upgrades are economically priced and we’re not out to scalp you for extra memory (just £5/mo to go to 2GB) or two disks (RAID-1).
Specifications range from:
- Athlon64 LE-1620 (single-core) through Phenom X4 9550+ (quad-core)
- Starting with 1GB RAM, do you need to upgrade to 8GB? No problem!
- Up to two disk drives, many sizes – 160GB, 500GB, 1TB
We also believe about being up-front with any caveats, and the things you need to be aware about ordering a value server are—
- Limited to uniprocessor configuration with 8GB RAM and 2 x HDDs.
- Not hot-swap drives, if one fails then we need to schedule fifteen minutes maintenance time for a technician to swap it. Ordering two will mean they are deployed in RAID-1 to help safeguard your data.
- Only our hot-swap systems come with ECC memory, and only those boxes can be fitted with redundant network and power.
Our custom-built value servers are all available within five working days, subject to hardware passing our strenuous test suite and being deployed.
Pricing and Payment
We accept payment for these machines on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis and do not charge setup fees for annual accounts. Hardware also receives a one month discount if you’re paying annually which equals a minimum saving of £160 + VAT!
Since we’ll build a server to your required specification, we operate a “Base Plus” system where you pick your preferred processor which comes with a minimum of hardware, then you choose any required upgrades as a bolt-on for smaller amounts.

- 1024MB RAM
- 1×160GB SATA (7,200rpm) HDD
- Inclusive transfer of 200GB per month
- Quota of 10GB on our backup servers
- All of the usual hosting extras
