How to use the admin shell

The admin shell is a program running outside of your virtual machine which allows you to control it, even if you have lost control of the machine from inside

Important Note

The adminshell has been replaced by the new console shell

If you’re still seeing the old shell you may “upgrade” by running the following three commands:

> autoreboot on

> rescuehalt
  (Press Ctrl-c if you see a hang here)

> exit

When you reconnect again you will be presented with the new shell.
