The Domain Name System (DNS)
Bytemark provide both a resolving DNS and a content DNS for the use of all our customers.
The resolving DNS is for use of all customers to enable DNS lookups to occur. The content DNS is important if you have your own domain that you wish to host on Bytemark’s three redundant DNS servers. If you have any doubts about the differences between these two types of Domain Name Systems then you might like to read about how they work.
On the other hand, if you would like to jump straight into the details, please head over to the resolving and content domain name system pages.
